Purchase an Open Air Burning Permit

Recreational backyard fires are permitted in the Town of Midland provided the resident first purchases an Open Air Burning Permit from the Town, and follows the Town's Open Air Burning by-law No. 2023-14. 

Violation of the terms of the permit could result in a fine and the permit may be revoked without refund. 

The cost of an annual Open Air Burning Permit is $40.00. Permits are valid during the year of purchase.

A PDF copy of the Permit will be emailed to the applicant once payment is received, normally within the same business day, however please allow up to 2 business days. Please print a copy of the receipt for your records.
