Application to set off (discharge) Consumer Fireworks

The use of consumer fireworks is allowed by permit in the Town of Midland as outlined in Fireworks By-law.

Fireworks can be set off on designated days only (when there is no fire ban), with a permit, between 6:00pm and 11:00pm on:

  • Victoria Day or Canada Day, or for the seven days before, or three days after these days,

  • or by permit.

Application to set off Fireworks:

  • Application must be submitted 7 days prior to the discharge date.

  • There is no cost for the permit.

  • Check the fire rating before setting off fireworks.

Violation of the terms of the permit as it pertains to the Town's Fireworks by-law 2024-33, could result in a fine and the permit may be revoked.

Consumer Fireworks Discharge Permit will only be issued to property owners. If the resident is not the property owner, a written authorization from the property owner is required.
